Many questions about the submissions process are answered in the Publishing Services section of our site. There you may want to read about each of the services and their requirements.

Should I format my book according to your specifications?

You do not need to format or style your book according to any specifications. In fact, we prefer to receive your book with as little formatting as possible. The only characters that we need are paragraph marks.

How will I know that you have received my submission?

Once we receive your submission, we will create a file and contact you via e-mail and phone.

How should I format my text?

Your text should be supplied in one file, single or double-spaced, with no page breaks, manual line breaks (except at the end of a paragraph) headers or footers. Each Chapter Title should be on a new line, immediately following the end of the previous chapter and the body of the chapter follows the chapter title. Do not think about the layout when typing, simply provide us with one long flow of text, and we'll do the rest. Do not include a title page, a table of contents (unless your book is poetry or has lots of short chapters), or cross-references. All footnotes should be converted to endnotes.

What is a graphic?

A graphic is any element in your book such as a picture, a chart or an illustration of any kind. It will be reproduced in black and white.

How should I submit my graphics?

You may submit your graphics electronically or in hard copy. If submitting electronically, your art should be saved as a grayscale image, at a resolution of 300 dpi, as an uncompressed TIFF (Tagged Image Format File), at actual size (no larger than 4" x 6"). Do not embed images in your word-processing file. Simply indicate in the body of the text [PLACE IMAGE 1 HERE] and be sure to name the image files appropriately.
