How to Submit

Xlibris is ready to begin copyediting your manuscript today. Follow the steps below to order the Xlibris Copyediting Service via mail. Your publishing consultant will help you determine whether the Copyediting Service is right for you and answer any questions you may have.

1. Complete the Copyediting order card.
Please fill out the Copyediting Service order form included with your brochure and submit it along with your Trade Book or Picture Book Service submission order package. For a printable version of the Copyediting order card, click here.

2. Calculate your total cost
The cost of the Copyediting Service varies according to your manuscript's length. The per-word charges are as follows:

• Manuscripts with 60,000 words or less, Xlibris charges $.012 per word for copyediting.
• Manuscripts with 60,001 to 120,000 words are charged a discounted per word rate of $.011.
• Manuscripts with 120,001 words or more are charged just $.01 per word!

Calculating the total cost to you is easy. Simply multiply your manuscript's word count by the per word charge. For example:

124,000 (Total word count) x $0.01 (Per word charge) = $1240 (Total cost of Copyediting Service)
OR
72,000 (Total word count) x $0.011 (Per word charge) = $792 (Total cost of Copyediting Service)
OR
33,000 (Total word count) x $0.012 (Per word charge) = $396 (Total cost of Copyediting Service)

3. Save your manuscript to disk
Please submit your entire manuscript as one single file in one of the common word processing formats including Microsoft Word™ and Corel WordPerfect™. Xlibris accepts manuscripts on floppy disk, CD-ROM, DVD-ROM and Zip disk. If you have a typed hardcopy manuscript, you must purchase the Data Entry Service at an additional cost. 4. Mail your submission.
Send your publishing service order form along with your copyediting order card, payment and manuscript to:
