Description

Children will meet Freddy, an old and unhappy fire hydrant who doesn’t know what he is meant to be. People who buy ice cream from the ice cream shop across the walkway sit on him, so he wonders if he is supposed to be a chair. Birds perch on him, so is he supposed to be a perch for birds? Dogs sniff him and lick the melted ice cream off him. They leave something else on him too. His yellow paint is peeling off and he feels so alone. One day, Freddy the Fire Hydrant smells smoke coming from the ice cream shop. Suddenly, a fire truck arrives and firemen rush over to him. Freddy is scared. Has he done something wrong?
