Description
This book starts on Earth but shortly the main character John Gideon a veteran and an archaeologist is transported by a tall strange man in Red robes to a different world. The world of Illúmaril birth place of his ancestors, but he does not know that initially. There he meets Ragan an archmaster wizard and the man who originally gated him from Earth to Illúmaril. Ragan takes Gideon as his ward and student, and begins introducing him to the world of Illúmaril. The Tauri wizard Ragan along with some Gnomes, Elves, Men folk and some other interesting people befriend Gideon and help him reestablish his connection to his ancestors and learn of his family history. By the end of this part of the story he knows he was hidden on Earth as a child and is descended from the High King of the Alor with a destiny to fulfill.
