Description

"The Baby Boomers Guide to Menopause . . . or how to have more fun than 36 hours of labor" is a humorous look at the Change of Life.  Comedian Sally Franz takes us on a joyful romp explaining the mysteries, miseries and magic that is menopause--weight gain, mood swings, finances, loss of height, dry skin, hot flashes, plastic surgery and:

Memory loss - While your long term memory stays intact your short term memory takes mini-vacations.  That is why you can't find your keys, the ones that were just in your hand, but you can remember all of the stanzas to "American Pie".  You can't find the eggs you know you just bought, but your wallet does show up in the toaster oven.

This is why more and more people over the age of 50 believe in aleins and poltergeist, it couldn't be you, noooooo!

Careers - All women have careers, some forgot to get paid for them. Have you ever noticed that most family members think the sticky stuff on the counter just evaporates after three days?  You can kick corporate butt all day long, yet at 6 P.M. when your family sees you enter the room you are a chuck wagon with lipstick and a briefcase.

Aging - At forty eight my upper lip had so many verticle wrinkles I could set off a bar code at the super market, (I'm worth 7.59 a pound). I have turkey wattle under my chin, chicken wing flaps for under arms, rhino haunches, alligator skin on my legs, duck feet, I am going to be the new poster child for the Bronx Zoo.  Gravity is winning.  I'm on a "Journey to the Center of the Earth" one body part at a time.

Sex - Wasn't I supposed to be rich by the time my looks went? Just when I get interested in sex again I couldn't get rolled in the hay by Trigger even if my pockets were filled with sugar cubes.  All the men I date have bigger boobs, thinner mustaches and less interest than a 30 day CD.
