Bonnie and the tree came to me as I thought about one Christmas we had. My mother decided to have a Charlie Brown Christmas. She brought home this poor drooping tree that hardly had any branches. The tree was too far gone to save. But the thought came to me “wouldn’t it be nice to have planted it” The drawings in this book were done by children, and the story is as if Bonnie wrote it and drew the pictures herself.
