Kevin Weiss
President and CEO
Weiss brings nearly three decades of sales, marketing, technology, and leadership experience to his role as chief executive officer of the Xlibris parent company, Author Solutions. He is the former CEO of Simdesk, a SaaS market pioneer, and former president of McAfee, Inc., a computer security and antivirus company.
As president of McAfee, Weiss assumed leadership of sales, channel development, partnerships, services, and customer support, as well as corporate, field, and product marketing. He has previously held senior management positions at Ariba, Bindview, and BMC Software, and has spent more than fifteen years at IBM Corporation. Weiss graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Princeton University in 1979.
Kevin G. Gregory
Chief Financial Officer
Gregory has more than 19 years of finance experience, the last seven as chief financial officer of publicly traded companies. He most recently served in various senior executive positions with Pomeroy IT Solutions—a technology services and solutions provider. As the senior vice president and CFO, his responsibilities included financial, legal, human resources, procurement, and logistics functions for the NASDAQ-traded company. In 2007, he served as Pomeroy's interim president and chief executive officer.
Prior to that, he spent eight years in progressive financial roles including senior vice president and CFO of a NYSE-traded educational and commercial content publisher. He started his career in public accounting roles with Price Waterhouse and Ernst & Young. Gregory, who holds a J.D. and L.L.M from DePaul University and a B.A. in accounting from the University of Notre Dame, is also a certified public accountant.
Don Seitz
Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Seitz leads ASI's publishing services and output operations -- including ASI's expanding printing operations; digital content management and distribution; and business and partnership development initiatives.
Prior to joining ASI, he served for eight years as the executive vice president of a large commercial print company. Seitz also has held chief executive officer and chief operating officer posts for several companies; and spent more than a decade in leadership positions with IBM.
Seitz holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree from Princeton University.
Bill Becher
Senior Vice President, Production Services and Output Operations
Becher has led service organizations from a variety of executive positions throughout his career. His leadership background ranges from serving as an associate partner at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and a national partner at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting to the vice president of professional services and program management for PowerWay, Inc. Becher earned a degree in economics from the University of Notre Dame.
Randy Davis
Chief Information Officer
Davis joined ASI from Klipsch Group where he led the worldwide transformation of the global business systems unit from an ad-hoc / reactive organization to one that was business-focused and goal oriented. During his tenure, Davis integrated Klipsch's sales, marketing, service, manufacturing and logistics from a systems perspective leading to a more effective use of technology, resources, and process to transform Kilpsch's business.
Davis also has held leadership positions at Sigma-Micro Corporation, Powerway, and Applied Systems.
Keith Ogorek
Senior Vice President, Marketing
Ogorek's career in marketing ranges from account service to creative director and vice president of new product development. He has held executive positions with various organizations and advertising agencies, including St. Joseph Bank and Trust, McCaffrey and McCall, and Bates World Wide, an agency with offices in eighty-four countries.
He later worked as a communications consultant for churches, nonprofits, agencies, and businesses, including AuthorHouse, an Xlibris sister company. Ogorek is also the author of A Clear View, which he published through one of the Author Solutions brands.
Jeff VanWay
Senior Vice President and General Counsel
VanWay has a broad range of experience with legal services and human resources. His legal experience includes significant practice with both a national law firm and a Fortune 25 company. He has managed the human resources department for a multi-location organization and has dedicated his career to helping managers and HR professionals overcome challenges.
VanWay holds a law degree from Indiana University (Bloomington). As Senior Vice President and General Counsel, he is responsible for all legal affairs and human resources for Author Solutions.
Joe Steinbach
Vice President, General Manager
Steinbach has a diverse history in the academic and print-on-demand publishing markets. He has created high-tech custom publishing solutions for the University of Nebraska Press, the National Archives and Records Administration, and the Library of Congress American Memory Project, and has been integrally involved with the supported self-publishing market since it's inception over a decade ago. Steinbach comes to Author Solutions from iUniverse, where he held a number of leadership roles including VP Technology, General Manager Shanghai Operations, and Chief Operating Officer.
Bruce Bunner
Vice President, Worldwide Sales
Bunner has a varied and extensive background in sales and sales management. Since 2001, he has worked in publishing sales, sales management, product development and marketing for AuthorHouse's predecessor 1st Books, AuthorHouse, Author Solutions and Xlibris. Before joining Author Solutions he worked in various sales management positions including both business to business and business to consumer fields. His experience in self publishing and book marketing adds depth to the services Xlibris provides to authors worldwide.
Dave Weinman
Vice President, Production
Weinman has served in various customer service and production roles since joining Xlibris in 2000. In his current role, Weinman oversees all customer service, production, book layout, and information technology operations. Weinman holds a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
