The CEO –
John Feldcamp
John Feldcamp is the creator and founder of Xlibris, the leading publishing services provider. Feldcamp established the Xlibris Corporation in 1997 and continues to oversee its business and financial development.
Since 1997, Feldcamp has led a revolution within the publishing industry by recreating the marketplace so that every writer has the opportunity to be published and every book can always be in print and available. A writer himself, Feldcamp launched Xlibris in response to his growing frustration with the detachment of writers from the traditional book publishing industry. Feldcamp utilized his extensive knowledge of the Internet and his deep understanding of digital publishing to facilitate Xlibris' growth into the foremost self-publisher.
Feldcamp's successes have captured the interest of the traditional media with Bertelsmann Digital Media Investments, the investment subsidiary of Bertelsmann Global Media Group, acquiring a significant minority position in the Company.
Prior to founding Xlibris, Feldcamp served as Vice-President of Operations at Oki Business Digital, which specializes in Internet and new media publishing technology and services. During his tenure at Oki Business Digital, Feldcamp executed a shift in business from print to Internet and new media orientation, creating unified publishing methods to support Oki companies in worldwide markets. Feldcamp also served at Oki Business Digital's parent company, Oki Business Company, LTD., based in Tokyo. As a Documentation Specialist, Feldcamp created and managed an international publishing team that orchestrated a large scale transition to digital publishing for the company.
Feldcamp received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 1986 and has traveled to over thirty countries on four continents.
